Good sandwiches, good variety and always friendly. This is a go-to spot for my coworkers and I for lunch.

What a great little lunch place. Found out they also cater. I have been here about 4 times now, had fish and chips and also the chicken with avo and bacon sandwich. So good but the star is really their French fries. So fantastic and fresh. Can't beat em. They also have beers on tap and great prices for what you get. Staff is super friendly and welcoming.

I was walking by after going to the DMV & I thought I'd come to this place for lunch, since I was waiting for my husband to pick me up.

Nice little grill. The owner is nice & so is the other guys I saw. Pretty clean & spacious too. They have a couple of flat screen tv's for some entertainment. They also have 2 bathrooms, which is a plus for a place like this. (Some places don't have that, so it's a big deal.) They have a bar section to chill & have some beers, which is nice too.

Thank you for WiFi, but it kept cutting in & out. So, I ended up using my xfinity mobile hot spot.
I got the, "lookin' at lucky" sandwich & it was my kind of sandwich, although I did ask for no onion & light on the bacon. ;) I do feel my sandwich was a bit pricey. More than my husband's triple burger! Wth? My meal turned out to $13 & some change, but that's because I ordered fries. At first I thought that was a bit much of price, but when I saw the amount of fries, it's actually worth. It's a lot of fries!! Haha

Overall, positive feedback & worth coming back, but won't be getting a pricy sandwich next time.

First, the sever was good; this is about the food.

I ordered a sandwich which I would say was overpriced, but not enough for me to go somewhere else.  The server asked if I wanted to add a combo to the sandwich for $3.50.  Again, I thought that was a tad expensive and that the sandwich should of come with fry's or something, but I said yes.

The sandwich was brought out and was what I would call on the very small side when it comes to the meat within the sandwich (I got the Sears Tower; or maybe it should be called the Sears One Story).  I wasn't expecting a 1/2 lbs of deli meat on the sandwich, but what I got was lacking at best.  Then I noticed the side of Onion Rings that I got; all 5 of them.  I just spent $3.50 on a soda and 5 small Onion Rings!  I went up to the counter and asked if that was a normal serving.  He talked to the cook and was told that because I purchased the combo, that is all I get.  The full serving of Onion Rings for $4.50 is a whole 10 Onion Rings!!!!!!

Overall, I give the food 2.5, I give the price a 0, and the server a 4.  He was even nice enough to ask how my meal was even after I asked about the 5 Onion Rings.

My suggestion, keep driving past the place.

Chicago's Umpire is where Chicago Metro was. menu about the same.

offerings: sammies, burgers, sides, dogs, salads, chicago eats, fries,...
    eats: "the jerk" (8.84)
-grilled chicken, jerk seasoning, mayo, tomato on sub roll with pickle wedge.
-thick piece of grilled, tender chicken. seasoned nicely. not overspiced.
grilling not so evident. roll so so.
    3.5 stars barely.

    leftovers:
    -1 flatscreen with sound off.
    -quick service.
-veggie and meat options priced similar.
    veggie ingredients anemic.
-sammie proteins not so appetizing, especially the sauce
    -plenty of parking...
